BANTAY, Ilocos Sur – The Fearless Cordillerans are gaining momentum of the fight as two of the Wushu Sanda Team Secondary Girls prevailed in the first half of the Single Elimination Rounds at Bantay West Elementary School, here, early this morning. In the 42-kilogram weight class division, Charlene Nagoy blinded Shaira Marie Marco (Region VIII) during the early minutes of the second round. Earlier in the first round, Nagoy directly aimed continuous kicks and punches at Marco. On the other hand, Lenie Agapito triumphed against Rhea Mae Lopera (Region VII) in the 45-kilogram weight division. Agapito won via unanimous decision at the second round of the fight after taking the lead of the first two rounds. Meanwhile, Yani Jones Allan did his best to stay at par with Zhian Jonas Sianson (Region VI) but was not able to win the fight in the 42-kilogram weight class, Secondary Boys Category./Vanessa Baňas
